Portrait by Anthony Tscherne
Hello! Thank you for visiting the website of my fashion label and textile/ surface pattern design business.
I’m Adrianne Lee, a free-spirited, fashion loving, designer/artist/ entrepreneur who’s been independently running and creating Ninkybink since 2002. I put a lot of love into what I do; it’s my creative expression and my passion!
Textile & Surface Pattern Design
I have always loved creating artwork, and love fashion (whether it be wearing it, sewing it, or tracking it’s trends). Where these two passions collide, in textile and surface pattern design, there I find my ultimate joy! I love creating my own patterns/ images and seeing them come to life as tangible products such as fabrics, home goods, or accessories.

I create my designs several ways. I will do paintings and scan them into the computer and adapt the art to create a design. I will do pencil drawings, and turn them to digital drawings with my Wacom Intuos Pro tablet, and create repeat patterns. Also I enjoy finding vintage copy-right free images (such as Victorian images) and create collage and pattern from them.
I am available for freelance work. I can create paintings to be featured on your products, as well as prints. Home goods, textiles, stationary products, beauty industry products, etc.
I have also had a fun opportunity to apply my pattern design to a large public park wall! Below is a picture of work I did at Fossil Park in Sylvania, Ohio, through a grant awarded by the Toledo Arts Commission. The theme for this mural was to represent the fossils that can be found in the park.
Please contact me, I would be happy to work with you on a unique design!
The items on my website are all created in small runs, are made one-of-a-kind, or have been sourced for their covet-worthy beauty and interest to me. I only present you with items I myself would want to wear, so that means my tees are flattering and SUPER soft, the designs often feature my illustrations, and all jewelry and accessories are selected for their ability to strike a style chord. I carefully edit my shop to be a representation of things I love!
The Ninkybink goal is to create beautiful well-made items that are as lovely as they are special.
A little extra about me, for those interested: I graduated in Apparel Merchandising and Product Development from Bowling Green State University, and I have worked several stints in NYC over the course of several years, interning at Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, and working as a freelance fashion assistant at places like J. Crew. I’ve also worked as a Visual Merchandiser and as Buying Assistant for an upscale privately owned boutique. I have also worked as a seamstress making unique wedding dresses for clients. However though all these experiences, textile design remains my passion.
